What to Do When you are Underweight and How to Gain Weight

Unlike others who have problems of being overweight, there are still some who don’t make it in the normal range of ideal weight for a healthy person.


People who are very skinny and who have unhealthy physical built should not be treated as a common and healthy sight. One should not ignore this kind of chronic condition since weighing too little could also be a sign of an underlying serious disease.


One of the factors of chronic underweight is hereditary genes. Young girls, frequently have the wrong perception of a healthy body. They become a victim of social media and fashion, which they see on TV and the Internet. They tend to become anorexic or bulimic, not eating for days and days.


For those who are underweight, their best treatment to gain weight is to eat nutritious foods. An underweight person who wants to gain weight must keep a record of what his daily diet.


Eating to gain does not mean eating the fats just to gain weight. This is harmful; gaining weight by eating the right kind of foods is different from gaining weight through loading up on unhealthy choices of food.


It would still be advisable to load up on a complete diet of carbohydrates, protein and very small amounts of fat. Aside from that, people who are underweight should get the right nutrition by having enough exercise and taking their daily doses of vitamin supplements.
